Sunday - uploading some challenges

Well, I have been hard at work the last couple days trying to do some scrapbooking challenges.  The kids just went outside now to play in the snow for awhile and I thought I would upload these before I headed out as well.  I just love weekends at home when we don't have 500 things going on.  Much easier to try to get ready for the week ahead.

The first image is the scrap-room blog challenge for the week (also a let's scrap sketch):

Next is a blog hop challenge for Sassy Lil Sketches:

Now to head outside with the kids...

Wacky Wednesday

I haven't been very good about my promise to keep up on this blog as much as I had hoped.  Life events and the crazy schedule are probably part of the reason.  I'm now working 4-5 days and 45-50 hours a week in the few weeks before Chicken Nugget's arrival trying to catch up on bills and help fill in at a couple other places.  I'm now working 3 jobs and it is getting crazy.  I believe my belly is growing double in size every day.  I'm not sure I will be able to make it the 6 and a half more weeks, but we'll see.  I'm hoping to be better on keeping up with this, especially once the baby makes his arrival.  The kids are keeping us so busy right now I'm not sure how we'll have time for another one, but I'm sure it will be great.  I will try to get some pictures of my recent creations posted soon.  Until then....

Ice Day!

So this morning did not start out exactly as planned.  We woke up to 1/4 inch of ice on the ground, no school, and no way I was going to make it to Mapleton.  Unfortunately, all the kids woke up super early, so by 10 AM everyone was already stir-crazy.  So far, we've played Wii, done workbooks, watched game shows, and played Webkinz.  If the power stays on, we should be okay, however, it keeps going out.  I've also got a little scrapbooking done this morning.  This is a page I did following a sketch I found on a new sketch site, Sassy Little Sketches.

Finally Friday

Today is my first day off this week and I'm trying to play catch up and still spend some time with Chase today.  Not sure what I was thinking when I agreed to help out and work both in Sioux City and Mapleton the next couple weeks.  But it'll sure help with the bills! :)  Anyway, Josh is gone deer hunting and I'm hoping to get some scrapbooking in.  The original plan was to head to Des Moines to see the Buhrow kids, but with working 52 hours next week, I'm not sure I can do it all.  So we'll be home having tons of fun here while Daddy is gone.

Well, Christmas is almost here!

Well, the baking is nearly done, the house is decorated, the presents are nearly wrapped and the parties are over.  Hopefully the next week will be nice and relaxing for the Lander family.  Chase had his Christmas program on Saturday and loved sitting on Santa's lap. He asked for a drum, Lexi and JJ both asked for Nintendo DS systems. We'll see what they get. :)  We delivered our holiday goodies to the neighbors yesterday and spent most of the day inside playing games.

November Updates

Well, the month of November is almost halfway over. The birthdays have all come and gone, and we are starting to get ready for the holidays. I have recently started my new job, and so far am loving it. The kids are well in the swing of things at school. I haven't posted in a long time, and hopefully will become better at keeping things updated here. My dh and I are planning a trip at the beginning of December to the HGTV dream home with my dear friend Steph and her husband Tommy. We are leaving the kids behind and having a couple days to ourselves to enjoy the sun. Will post more later and keep you all updated!

Sat. Feb. 16

Happy weekend. Josh and I are working on a fun project. We are plumbing. Unfortunately, it is not going so well, and we ended up with schmutz everywhere and it smells like schmutz everywhere. And like a typical man, he is done for the day. We'll leave it as it, and it might just get finished before the next millineum. Our original plan for the day was to clean the basement and get it picked up so it will be functional for us to be down here. Not going to happen I'm afraid. Hope all your weekends are going well. Happy plumbing!!!
